Do I really need a primer?

Yes! I definitely suggest you purchasing a Primer if you don't already have one or two in your makeup kit already. There is a wide range of different kinds of primers, so you might not find the perfect primer on your first purchase, but don't give up!

Primer - Liquid/Cream/Gel Product that is applied to the face/lid before applying foundation/eyeshadow/powder.

What does it do? - Creates a smooth "canvas" by filling imperfections like enlarged pores and lines in the skin. Primers can mattify,brighten, or smoothen. 

Suggestions based on your Skin Type

Oily  or Combination (Oily & Dry) Skin?

Mattifying Primer - Keeps the skin from inhabiting excessive oils & dryness. If needed you can applying a Mattifying Primer only to the areas that your skin produces extra shine (i.e.. T-Zone area)

Smoothing Primer - If you have no major skin issues but you are just looking to extend the wear of your makeup.

Illuminating/Brightening Primer - If your skin is prone to dullness & you need an extra glow

Pore Minimizing Primer - If your skin has any large open pores

Color Correcting Primer - If you have excessive yellow/redness in your skin complexion
